Renew Driving licence at Barcelona

POBLENOU MEDICAL CENTER is a Driver Recognition Center (CRC) authorized by Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia, with the authorization number E-08012366, and for the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), with the authorization number B-0095, to make and issue certificates of psychophysical fitness to renew the different driving permits.
In addition, we are enabled and authorized by the DGT to make the renewal of the driving license form telematics.
Since 2006 already you don't need to go to the DGT offices to renew your driver's license.
This process is performed from our medical center of the form completely automated.
Throughout this process we use protocols of computer security so that your data is always safe.
At the end of the process, your card will be automatically renewed and we will give you a temporary permit, with which you can drive up to the arrival of the new permit to your home.
When can I Renew a Driving license?
The DGT states that the driving licence must be renewed during.nbsp;nbsp;.lt;strong.gt;3 months before the expiration date of your existing licence.lt;/strong.gt;. Renewing before the expiration date does not imply that those days of validity that you have anticipated renewal are lost.
For example, if your license expires on April 1, 2022 and you come to our center on February 28, 2022, the next renewal of your driver's license will also be on April 1. No days are "lost" to renew in advance of the expiry date.
- I have an expired permit, can I renew it?
Yes, the permit can be renewed even if it is expired. There is no additional cost. In addition, if you drive with an expired license you can be fined up to €200.
- What is”lost” the driving license if it is not renewed after a period of time?

- If I go to the offices of the DGT in La Campana, will they give me a driving license right away?
No. The license is manufactured in Madrid, in the Factory National of the Currency and Stamp. Once manufactured, it is delivered to the Post Office and sent to your address by regular mail.

¿Qué necesito para renovar mi permiso de conducir?
- Request an appointment. Contact us and make an appointment to renew your driver's license.

- Bring your ID card, or a CARD or passport and driving license that you have to renew.
- It is NOT necessary to bring a photograph. We take the photograph with our digital camera.
- We will make the medical review is mandatory to be able to renew the license. The medical examination psychophysical has a duration of approximately 20 minutes.
- We will process in the electronic headquarters of the DGT the renewal of your driving license.

How much does it cost to renew a driver's license?
The prices vary depending on the age, the type of permit that has been renewed and the rates that should be applied in each person.

If you want to know exactly what is the price of your renewal, please contact us. You will be required to provide us your DNI or NIE number, date of birth, and the permission that you have to renew.
How, when and where will I get my drivers license renewed?
Once the DGT has validated your medical record, and the payment of the fee, if applicable, submit your data to the National Factory of Coin and Timbre (FNMT). There is, which makes the driving licence. The own MINT sent to your home address by regular mail, the driving permit.

Once 2 months have passed, counted since you came for the medical examination at our center, if you have not yet received your driver's license, you will have to contact us to communicate the situation.
We will handle your issue with the DGT and we'll keep you informed up to the resolution of the same.
This claim usually takes a week to resolve with a new temporary authorization being issued so you can continue driving for another three months. In this period, the DGT usually replies that we can pick up the permit at its offices (and we will take care of it), or informs that a new driver's license document is being sent to be produced. In this second case, it is not sent to the interested party but is delivered to us so that we can deliver your renewed driver's license to you.
