Renovar carnet conducir en Barcelona ¿Cómo se hace?

When it's possible to renew a driver's license?
The DGT states that the driving licence must be renewed during.nbsp;nbsp;.lt;strong.gt;3 months before the expiration date of your existing licence.lt;/strong.gt;. Renewing before the expiration date does not imply that those days of validity that you have anticipated renewal are lost.
For example, if your license expires on April 1, 2022 and you come to our center on February 28, 2022, the next renewal of your driver's license will also be on April 1. No days are "lost" to renew in advance of the expiry date.

¿Qué necesito para renovar mi carnet de conducir?
- Request an appointment. Contact us and make an appointment to renew your driver's license.

- El reconocimiento médico psicofísico tiene una duración aproximada de unos 20 minutos.

The prices vary depending on the age, the type of permit that has been renewed and the rates that should be applied in each person.
The fee for renewing permits for over 70s is between €40 and €60 strong>. This rate is exempt from the payment of fees to the DGT.

How, when and where will I get my drivers license renewed?
Una vez la DGT ha validado tu expediente médico y el pago de la tasa, si corresponde los mayores de 70 años no pagan tasa-, envía tus datos a la Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT). Allí es donde se fabrica el permiso de conducir. La propia FNMT envía a tu domicilio, por correo ordinario, el permiso de conducir.
El plazo habitual está entre 6 y 8 semanas, a contar desde el día en que vienes a nuestro centro médico.

This claim usually takes a week to resolve with a new temporary authorization being issued so you can continue driving for another three months. In this period, the DGT usually replies that we can pick up the permit at its offices (and we will take care of it), or informs that a new driver's license document is being sent to be produced. In this second case, it is not sent to the interested party but is delivered to us so that we can deliver your renewed driver's license to you.
